Sylvia Santiago of Monroe, N.Y., a retired Transportation Coordinator at Samaritan Day Top Village in the Bronx for the past six years and a seven-month resident of the area, died on February 10, 2023, at Garnett Medical Center in Wallkill, N.Y.
She was 52 years of age.
Sylvia was born on January 25, 1971, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Peter Gutierrez, at home and their children, Stephanie Gutierrez of the Bronx, Samantha Gutierrez-Velez of Darlington, South Carolina, and Gabriela Gutierrez of Monroe, N.Y.
She is also survived by her four granddaughters, Hailey, Marley, Frankie, and Juliette.
Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
A Life Celebration and Prayer service will begin at 3 PM at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., under the immediate care and supervision of Thomas & Brendan Flynn.
The Flynn family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff provided funeral care.
