Joseph Dennis Moocz, a 42-year resident of the area, passed away on December 10, 2024, at Westchester Medical Center. He was 42 years old. Joseph was a Master Craftsman for 30 years. 

The son of the late Dezso Joseph and Elvira Moocz, he was born on August 13, 1982, in Goshen, NY.

Our beloved Joseph rests peacefully now. Forever watching over us with our father and mother. There can never be enough good and bad times to see through when surrounded by those who care for you as you care for them. From snow sledding to waking up early and staying up late playing video games to quading, hunting, and working side by side in the family fence company since we were kids. May he live forever in the fond memories we have of and with him. And may we feel joy in having been a part of his life. 

Joseph is survived by his children, Eric and Rebecca Moocz, of Sullivan County. He is also survived by his brother Paul (Lindsay) Moocz and his sister Maria (Mark) Lagasse. Joseph is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Locke Moocz, Aspen Moocz, Tyler Moocz, Paul Moocz Jr., and Amelia Lagasse. 

Cremation care will be provided under the immediate care and supervision of Brendan & Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester, NY.

The family entrusted Joseph's care to the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
