John Michael MacEwen, a lifelong resident of Middletown, N.Y., died peacefully on February 26, 2024, at his residence with his family.

John was 60 years of age.

The son of Robert and Carol (Nee: Rubner) MacEwen, he was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 17, 1963.

Michael served his country as a cook in the United States Navy. He was discharged with an honorable discharge for his faithful service.

John is survived by his Mother, Carol MacEwen, at home; his daughter Jackie MacEwen of Middletown, N.Y.; his sister Patricia and her husband Walter of Inverness, FL; his brother Robert and his wife Margaret MacEwen of Middletown, N.Y.

John is also survived by his nieces and nephews Vincent and Kerry Krantz, Christina Rice, Robert MacEwen III, Meghan MacEwen, and Andrew MacEwen.

The family will hold a Memorial Service at a date to be determined.

Cremation services are provided under the immediate care and supervision of Brendan & Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, N.Y.

The Flynn Family and staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers were entrusted with John Michael MacEwen's care.
