It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Harvey P. Shames, a beloved resident of Chester, N.Y.

 Harvey passed away on January 28, 2024, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, N.Y.

 He was a retired worker for the City of New York Department of Homeless Services and was known for his kind and gentle nature.

 He was 82 years old at the time of his passing.

Our hearts go out to Harvey's family during this difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies to his loving wife and son. 

We hope that they can find comfort in the memories they shared together.

In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be private, and there will be no public calling hours.
