Debi Coleman, 62, formerly of Pine Bush, NY, and a resident of Raleigh, NC, passed away on July 3, 2024, at her home with her beloved therapy dog, Jake, by her side. Debi was born in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated high school at St. Helena’s Academy and later earned an associate’s degree in occupational therapy with a Dean’s List recognition from Orange County Community College. She worked at Genesis HealthCare in Cary, NC, until 2019.

The Daughter of Martin Coleman and the late Winifred Brosnan, she is survived by her three children: Karolyn Ryan King (Jerry) of Dallas, TX; Katelin M. Ryan of Raleigh, NC; and Michael F. Ryan of New Paltz, NY, along with nieces, nephews, and friends. She joins her brother, Michael P. Coleman, in eternal rest.

She was a determined and strong woman. If someone said she couldn’t do it, she would ensure she could. That strength showed in her work. She gave much of her life to working with geriatric patients, ensuring they could stay independent for as long as possible. She was one of those people who smiled with her eyes, and of all things, she was most proud of being a mom.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 12 noon at St. Anastasia Church Cemetery, 21 North Main Street, Harriman, N.Y. 10926
