William James Kimmel of Monroe, N.Y., formerly of Blooming Grove, NY, died peacefully at Garnet Medical Center on September 13, 2024.

The son of the late William and Marie Burns Kimmel was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 18, 1935.

William was a United States Marine Corps veteran and was highly proud of his service to his country and church.

The family will hold a private family viewing before the cremation to share stories and enjoy some time Celebrating the gift of his life and the sense of family and value of family he gave each member of his family.

Brendan and Thomas Flynn will provide cremation care at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY.

A Memorial Mass is planned for St. Anastasia R.C. Church with interment with Military Honors at Orange County Veterans Cemetery (Niche interment), 111 Cragiville Road, Monroe, NY 10950, on October 11, 2024. (Once the mass time is confirmed, the obituary will be updated)

The family has entrusted the Flynn family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff to care for William and his family.
