Vittorio Posta, a 60-year resident of Tuxedo, NY, died peacefully at his residence on May 28, 2022.
He was 92 years of age.The son of the late Filippo and Pasqualina Posta he was born on July 7, 1929 in Castello Del Matese, Italy.He was a devoted husband of 57 years to Ada, father and grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him.
He was one of eight children and is survived by two sisters.His wife Ada survives at home, and their sons Filippo Posta and his wife Shelia and Vittorio Posta and his wife, Donna..He is also survived by his grandchildren Christopher, Luke, Dominick, Talia, and Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Generous - always helping people in need and inviting neighbors in for a drink or food
He was Loving - loved to share his hobbies with his grandchildren
He was Strong - in both mind and body - he held in ground when he knew he was right and in his younger days was very athletic
He was Funny - he always cracked everyone up especially his sons friends
He was Intelligent - he was deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of life from plants and flowers to wine and cheese to stocks and bonds
He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards, collecting stamps and coins, mushroom picking, spending time with his grandchildren, making cheese, bread, and wine
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.Cremation occurred at Oxford Hills Crematory under the care and supervision of Thomas & Brendan Flynn.Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc.
