Rose M. Velez of Chester, NY, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family.

A retired Registered Nurse at Montefiore Medical Center, Rose dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. As the eldest sibling in her family, she naturally embraced the role of leader and role model, setting a lifelong example of integrity, strong work ethic, and the value of education.

Rose was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and cherished sister. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, whose acts of kindness and quiet strength reflect the values she instilled in them each day.

A private family visitation was held, followed by a prayer service at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.

Cremation care was respectfully provided at Oxford Hills Crematory under the immediate supervision and personal care of Brendan and Thomas Flynn.

The family of Rose M. Velez was honored to be served by the Flynn Family and the compassionate staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
