Robert Thomas Scheufele a 46 year resident of Washingtonville, NY, passed away on November 25, 2020 in St. Luke's Montefiore Hospital, located in Newburgh, NY. He was 84 years old. Robert has born in Philadelphia, PA on August 28, 1936. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years. Robert worked as a Postal Worker is White Plains, NY for 37 years before enjoying his retirement. Robert is remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to all. He is predeceased by his wife Rita Scheufele, his son in law, Ralph Leiter and his 2 great-granddaughters Raelyn and Rylee Leiter. Robert is survived by his 2 daughters, Lisa Leiter and Ginny Scheufele, his grandchildren Kimberly Rothbauer and her husband Jared Rothbauer, Kristine Scheulele, Kyle Scheule, Ralph Leiter and his wife Kylene Leiter, and his great-grandchildren, Bryce Leiter, Rhett Leiter and Colton Rothbauer as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, located at 42 Goshen Ave, Washingtonville, NY. A burial will follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, located at 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY.
