October 19, 1950 — November 18, 2022

Maureen G. Maurer of Monroe, NY a Sales Office Administrator for several Hudson Valley businesses for over 40 years, and a lifetime resident of the area passed away at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in New York, NY. She was 72 years of age.
The Daughter of the late Ed and Gloria Scott, she was born on October 19, 1950 in Newburgh, NY.
Maureen loved Jamaica and has many Jamaican, American, and Canadian friends from her visits over the years.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Ronald Purdy, Sr.
She is survived by her husband Robert Maurer of Monroe, NY. She is also survived by her children James Maurer and his wife Lynn of Glendale, AZ and Kristen Romeo and her husband Domenick of Scotch Plains, NJ.
Maureen is also survived by her 4 granddaughters Olivia, Sophia, Sean, and Ryan. She is also survived by her 9 nephews and 4 nieces.
A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Derek and Angela Rabbitts and Marie Burger Zaccagnino, her cousin for all their help and support for the past 2 years.
