Maureen J. Higgins, a lifelong resident of Orange County, died peacefully on May 12, 1024, at Garnet Medical Center in Wallkill, N.Y.
Maureen Burns, daughter of the late William and Mary Burns, was born in Jersey City, N.Y., on August 12, 1948.
Maureen was a second-grade teacher for the Ridgefield Schools.
She leaves behind a loving and united family, her devoted husband, Michael, and their son, Liam, who were her pillars of strength.
A private family service will be held at this time, and a significant Life Celebration is planned to commemorate Maureen's life at the end of the School year at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers (Planned for July 13, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm)
Cremation care was provided by Brendan & Thomas Flynn at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, N.Y.
The family entrusted Maureen's care to the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
