Luba Pawlyk of Monroe, NY, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2020 at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late Isador and Rose Cisyk, Luba was born in Ukraine, in 1929. A family statement reads: "Heaven has gained another angel. It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Luba Pawlyk, who just celebrated her 90th birthday. She was our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She died peacefully last night surrounded by her family. She was able to touch many lives with her energy, infectious positivity and kindness". A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 during the hours of 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road in Monroe, NY 10950. Father Kostyk will conduct the Panakhyda service in loving memory of Luba, at 7:30 PM. A Graveside service, followed by Interment, will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, located at 141 Sarah Wells Trail in Campbell Hall, NY 10916.
