Julia Lorgan, a dedicated professional, retired as a Secretary and Receptionist at Key Bank. She was a lifelong resident of Chester, N.Y., and died peacefully on April 6, 2024, at Westchester Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, N.Y., at 93 years of age.

The daughter of the late John and Bessie Laskowski, she was born in New York in 1930.

Julia was a longtime active St. Columba R.C. Church member in Chester, N.Y.

Julia was the widow of Clarence Bernard Lorgan, Sr.

She is survived by their children Kathleen McMurray (Steven) of Clermont, Florida, Clarence B. Lorgan Jr. (Patty) of Middletown, N.Y., Theresa M. Tants (Gregory) of Milford, PA, John H. Lorgan (Cathy) of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and Beth Anne Peluso (Joseph) of Middletown, N.Y.

She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Ashleigh, Jennifer, Justin, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Gabrielle, Brandon, Nicole and Danielle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia was pre-deceased by her husband, Clarence Bernard Lorgan, Sr., and her grandson Vincent, along with her siblings Margaret (Molly) Simmons (Joseph), Sophie Rossiter, Jennie (Jean) Fritz (John), Edna Laskowski, Irene Mitchell (James), Kathaleen Laskowski, Anna F. Laskowski, Caroline Harding (Thomas), Mitchel Laskowski (Agnes), Vincent Laskowski, Beatrice Goldsmith Brinkerhoff (Richard and Roy).

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers., 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Columba R.C. Church, 27 High Street, Chester, New York 10918.

Burial will follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, New York 10924.

The family has entrusted Julia’s care to Brendan and Thomas Flynn and the Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
