Joan Marie Plaat, a longtime resident of Monroe, New York, died peacefully on December 1, 2024, after a long illness. She was 94 years old.
Joan retired from the New York Telephone Company after 25 years of service.
The daughter of the late Gino and Marie Betro, she was born in the Bronx.
Joan was the widow of Michael Plaat.
Joan leaves behind her children, Gino, Mark, and Marie.
Entombment Services will be held at noon on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
The family has entrusted Joan's care to the Flynn Family and Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center staff.
