James Thomas Clifford passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York.
Jim was born on February 13, 1937, in New York City and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Jim was an Ironworker with Local 197 in NYC. He was also the proud owner of Oxford Nursery and was a self-educated botanist whose knowledge of plants and trees was phenomenal.
Jim is survived by the love of his life for 30 years, Lillian Minogue, his sons, James and Thomas Clifford, his daughter, Agnes Clifford-Carmone and son in law Chris, his stepchildren, Terri, Jeanine, and Bobby, and his six grandchildren, Kailynn, Riley, RJ, Brendan, Gavin, and Finley.
Jim had a personality larger than life. He loves nature, music, and dancing. He fulfilled his dream of renting an R.V. and traveling thru Alaska, where the sights were breathtaking.
Jim will be sorely missed, especially by all his CHERISHED friends at The Willows.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 11:00 am at Saint Columba R.C. Church located at 27 High Street, Chester, NY 10918.
Jim requested that his family hold a private cremation service at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., Chester, NY, under the direct care and supervision of Thomas & Brendan Flynn.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc.
