James A. Baltimore, Sr. of Goshen, a retired truck driver and lifelong resident of the area, died on June 2, 2018 at home. He was 89 years of age.The son of the late Sarah and Stewart Baltimore, he was born in Sugar Loaf, New York in 1928. James was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Baltimore, to whom he was married for 54 years.Dad was a true sanitation man throughout his entire life! He was a great father and a wonderful uncle. He enjoyed fishing, people-watching, and spending time with his family.Survivors include his children: James, Jr. (Carol) of Chester, Marjorie Baltimore of Middletown, Leona Powlus of Otisville, Arlene (Ross) Freeman of Chester, Esther (Joe) Ramos of Rock Tavern, Frank of Goshen, and Alan (Ida) of Goshen; his sixteen grandchildren Jose, Jerry, Howie, Nora, Eric, Kayla, Tymikka, Jeffrey, Aaron, Tinan, DeShawn, Frankie, April, Iesha, Kyle and Matthew; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Gus, and his daughter Theola.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James' name to Orange County Office for the Aging, Senior Dining Program, 18 Seward Avenue, Middletown, New York 10940, (845) 615-3700.A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, during the hours of 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers Inc., 3 Hudson Street, Chester, New York 10918.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas F.
