August 27, 1968 — January 5, 2024

Herman J. Olberding, Jr of Goshen, N.Y., died unexpectedly on January 5, 2024, at Garnett Medical Center in Wallkill, N.Y. He was 55 years of age.

The son of the late Herman J. & MaryEllen Olberding, Sr., he was born in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, on August 27, 1968.

Herman was a Driver for Building Products in the Hudson Valley Region.

Herman was a loving father to his son Trevor; he enjoyed R/C Car Racing with Trevor and supported him throughout his racing. Anyone who knew Herman understood his passion and love for the hobby. All will deeply miss him.

He is survived by his loving son Trevor at home, his former wife, Samantha Cottrell, and numerous friends and co-workers who thought the world of him.

A Memorial Visitation with a life celebration will occur on January 20, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 3 Hudson Street, Chester, N.Y. 10918. (845) 469-2525
