With profound sadness, our beloved husband, father, and Opa, Gerhard "Gary" Schulz, passed away on Saturday, August 30th,2025, at the age of 87.

Born September 19, 1937 in Maisch, Germany. Gary later made his home in the United States, where he worked as an electrician in New York City for over 65 years and loved every minute.

He was a Veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War.

He left behind his beautiful family, his wife of 56 years, Edna, and their two children. Heidi and her husband Charles, Marc and his wife Carla, and their grandchildren Christopher, Nicole, Marc, and Taylor.

Gary loved his Family, work, and gardening. He will be truly missed by his Family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Columba R.C. Church, 27 High Street, Chester, NY 10918. 

Inurnment with military honors will follow at 12:30 pm that same day at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924. 

The family entrusted Gary's care to the Flynn family and the Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Center's staff.
