Daniel G. Coughlin of Clermont, FL, and formerly of Wurtsboro, NY, passed away on October 7, 2021. He was 83 years of age. The son of the late Daniel and Margaret Coughlin, he was born on July 26, 1938, in the Bronx, NY. Daniel was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 560 as a Truck Driver for many years, and then a Business Agent. Daniel loved to play guitar, sing, read and write. He loved to spend time with his family and was always ready with a good story. Survivors include his loving wife, Antionette Coughlin of Clermont Fl, his son, Daniel and wife Melody of Palenville, NY, his daughter, Denise Smithem and her husband Charles of Naponock, NY, his grandchildren, Daniel and Amanda Coughlin, Edward Coughlin, Sean Coughlin, Caitlin and Alex Davis, Ryan Smithem, Matthew Smithem and fianc Dana Aulogia and Dylan Smithem, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Margaret and Lydia Coughlin, his brother, James Coughlin of Maryland, and sister-in-law Angela Sherman of Long Island, NY. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Maureen Dunlap and her husband James, Regina Merz and her husband William. Daniel was pre-deceased by his sister Catherine Gilmartin, and his nephews, Brian and Matthew Gilmartin brother-in-law Joseph Sherman.
